USE OF THIS SITE SIGNIFIES YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY.

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation (“Alliance”) is firmly committed to protecting your online privacy. By utilizing one or more websites managed by the Alliance, (the “Site(s)”) and/or entering information about yourself, you agree to be legally bound by this Privacy Policy. This statement may change over time; please review it periodically. By using the Site(s) after the Alliance posts changes to this Privacy Policy, you agree to accept those changes.

If this policy is not acceptable and you are unwilling to be bound by it, do not use or enter any information about yourself on the Site(s). If you have already done so, you can opt-out as explained below.


Information Collected and Shared

Information collected about you is used only for the purposes for which it was collected, and the other limited purposes outlined below.

The Alliance Site(s) collect some non-personally identifiable information automatically and some from forms and online surveys. Non-personally identifiable information might include your IP address, your browser type or operating system, the domain name from which you linked to Alliance Site(s), your zip code, your age, and other general demographic information. The Alliance may use this non-personally identifiable information to help diagnose server problems and to administer the Site(s); and may share it with Alliance affiliates or business partners on an aggregated basis.

The Alliance Site(s)’ forms, surveys, and merchandise transactions may also request or require personally identifiable information (like name, telephone number, home address and e-mail address). The Alliance may use this information to contact the user and/or to track usage of the Site(s) at the individual level.

Clicking on a link in an Alliance email you receive may cause you to be personally identified on the Site(s) and may cause part of your past browsing history on Alliance Site(s) to be available to Alliance staff. If you do not wish for this tracking to occur, you can unsubscribe from Alliance mailings and use private browsing mode to avoid tracking.

The Alliance will not sell or disclose personally identifiable data to any third party unless at least one of the following conditions exists: The Alliance (i) changes the Site(s)’ hosts or the host transfers business assets (as further described below); (ii) first obtains permission from you; (iii) needs to share it with agents or contractors who perform Alliance services; or (iv) is required by law to disclose it.

The Alliance also collects program data provided by schools and out-of-school time sites that can be tracked to activity by specific individuals. Program data could include assessment responses, action planning information, enrollment, and award information.

The Alliance will not sell or disclose school or out-of-school time site specific program data unless the Alliance: (i) changes the Site(s)’ hosts or the host transfers business assets (as further described below); (ii) first obtains permission from you; (iii) needs to share it with agents or contractors who perform Alliance services; (iv) is required by law to disclose it; (v) aggregates the data and does not provide school or site specific detail or identification; or (vi) shares it with third party providers such as intermediary organizations, parent organizations, school districts, and funding organizations when there is a specific association between school and/or out-of-school time site and the third party.


Cookies, Tags & Remarketing Pixels

A cookie is a small piece of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. It helps the website to remember information about your visit, like your preferred language and other settings. Cookies are also used by web sites for authenticating users, tracking a user’s session, and/or for storing other essential textual information. Alliance tracks your interests on our sites so that we can provide you with additional content that might be of importance to you. Providing you with fresh and engaging content is important to us, as we know it is important to you.

Alliance uses tools, cookies and services such as AdWords, DoubleClick and Google Analytics for tracking, reporting and analyzing web site activity. Some cookies are used to measure conversion events. Pixel tags might be used together with some of the advertising cookies described above, to operate, evaluate, and improve our programs, and to perform data analytics, accounting, auditing, and other internal functions.

Alliance does not run interest-based advertising campaigns that collect personally identifiable information including, but not limited to, email addresses, telephone numbers, and credit card numbers, nor do we use or associate Personal Information with remarketing lists, cookies, data feeds, or other anonymous identifiers. Alliance does not use or associate targeting information, such as demographics or location, with any Personal Information collected from the ad or its landing page. We do not share Personal Information with Google through our remarketing tag or our product data feeds that might be associated with our ads. Alliance will not send Google precise location information without obtaining your consent.

The Site(s) may make use of virtual meetings. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. By posting information, you also give the Alliance for a Healthier Generation the unlimited right to use and republish the information.


The Alliance’s limitations on user submitted content

Please carefully choose the information you post on or through Alliance Site(s). You may not post on or supply Alliance Site(s) any form of prohibited content, as outlined below. Despite this prohibition—information, materials, products or services provided by others may, in whole or in part, be unauthorized, impermissible or otherwise violate this Agreement, and the Alliance assumes no responsibility or liability for this material. If you become aware of misuse of Alliance Site(s) by any person, please email info@healthiergeneration.org to share your concern.

You agree to post only messages, information or other content that are proper, lawful, and related to the Alliance’s mission. In addition, but without limitation, you may not post content that:

  • Defames, threatens, or abuses others;
  • Is racially or ethnically offensive;
  • Is obscene, pornographic, vulgar, or harmful to children;
  • Infringes another's rights to intellectual property, publicity, or privacy;
  • Contains advertisements, promotions, or commercial solicitations;
  • Contains information intended to assist in the placement of a bet or wager; or
  • Contains viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of the Site(s) or another's computer.

In addition, the Alliance may edit, format and revise submitted content for length and consistency, and to assure that any health or science information, whether explicitly stated or implied in the submitted content is consistent with the mission of the Alliance.

You acknowledge that all interactive areas are public and not private communications; therefore, any information or content you post to an interactive area may be read by others.. Your username will be visible to members who are associated with the same school(s) or out-of-school time site(s) as you.

The Alliance reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject, refuse to post, or remove any content you post or submit to its Site(s), and/or to deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the Site(s) at any time, for any or no reason, with or without prior notice or explanation, and without liability.

The Alliance hopes that you will find the information provided on the Site(s) informative and useful. The Alliance is pleased to provide the information on the Site(s) conditioned upon your acceptance, without modification, of the terms, conditions and notices contained in this Statement.


Proprietary Rights Regarding Member Content

The Alliance does not claim any ownership rights in the Content that you post on or through the Site(s) ("Member Content"), except for assessment, action planning and award data or those rights provided to the Alliance through its receipt of a signed Consent and Release Form. After posting your Member Content to the Site(s), you continue to retain any such rights that you may have in your Member Content, subject to the limited license herein. By displaying or publishing any Member Content on or through the Site(s), you hereby grant to the Alliance a limited license to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content, including without limitation distributing part or all of the Content in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the Site(s) a non-exclusive license to access your Content through the Site(s), and to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Sites(s) and under this Statement. The license you grant to the Alliance is non-exclusive, perpetual, fully-paid and royalty-free, and worldwide.


No Endorsement

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation does not sponsor, endorse or recommend any of the user-generated submitted material on the Site(s). The views, expressions and opinions are those of members of the Site(s), not the Alliance.


Use of Music

Users may not use music in their uploaded videos.


Transfer of Business Assets

As the Alliance Site(s)’ host develops business, it may be acquired, merge with another business, or acquire or buy other businesses or assets. In such transactions, both personally and non-personally identifiable information will likely be one of the transferred assets.


Children

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation Site(s) do not seek to collect any information from children under the age of 13. If any child provides the Alliance with personally identifiable information, a parent or guardian may notify the Alliance and such information will be deleted from Alliance records. If you are under 13 years of age, you may not search Alliance Site(s), enroll in Alliance programs, or use any Alliance services. If you are eligible to use the Site(s), but are under the age of 18, the Alliance asks that your parents be involved in any Information you provide about yourself or others. By using the Site(s), you represent that you are not under 13 years of age.


Security

While there is no such thing as "perfect" security on the Internet, the Alliance will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of your personally identifiable information. The Site(s) have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under the Alliance’s control. However, the Alliance does not assume any liability for third-party usage of your personal information, whether obtained legally or illegally from the Site(s).

In no event will the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, or its constituent member organizations, be liable to you, anyone claiming by, through or under you or anyone else for (i) any decision or action taken, or not taken, in reliance upon the information contained or provided through the Site(s), (ii) arising out of or related to the Site(s), (iii) your use of the Site(s) or (iv) for any incidental, indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to, possible health side effects, loss of revenues, profits or savings, even if the Alliance knew or should have known of the possibility of such damages, claims, demands or actions.
